with the three verticals like you showed above the frame should be ok with 1"x.120. Deflection at the top will be ~.25".
If you only used 2 verticals, you would need to increase pipe size/diameter
And any gussets should be at the top where the tubes meet in the middle, or at each side, not the bottom
