For the record. If I ask for something to be done to the XJ,I don't expect it for free. Now if you refuse my offer, I won't beg you to take it. Even if you were employed,it cost gas to come from SP to Annap and your time is just as important.

UPDATE: I drove exactly 5.40 miles and the XJ started smoking. Found a spot to park, lifted the hood to see what was going on as I'm shaking my head in utter disgust. The overflow is not to the top,I don't see any leakage. I did notice that the smoke was coming from the engine on the drivers side where there are a few bolts, screws, etc. I can smell oil burning, but nothing else jumps out at me. I let her cool down start her up and gauge is at 215-220, check gauge light is on and then goes off, and engine is shaking like it wants to cut out. I then decide that instead of coming home, I drop the xj off at the shop where they will do flush n fill in am. She will also run a diag.
On my list of things to do was get oil change=done, change spark plugs in 10 days roughly=scheduled, torque bolts on the exhaust manifold because by now it's loose= not done, clear the CEL code (o2sensor) if CEL comes back on than replace O2 sensor. That's All Folks
