I used to drive like a dead grandma. Foot to the floor, laying on the horn is a good way to rack up some fines.

A Bad Attitude is like a flat tire. You can't get anywhere until you change it. Good Morning.

Good Morning. I need some advice about the XJ. I'm going to get the rad, thermo issue fixed. My question is if it were your xj considering all the issues I've had, would go used or new on the rad? Next question is considering all the issues I've had would you keep it or sell it after this last repair is made? I'm off to court, darn subpoena for something last year. I can hardly remember what happened 2 days ago let alone an incident in December. Stay cool and have a Blessed day

Always go new with a radiator....UNLESS it is a professional rebuild...but that usually isn't much cheaper.

As far as selling it....my opinion....you are close to working out the issues. Sell it and buy something else...you may be starting the process all over again.

Thanks Jimmy. You're right.I've almost rebuilt this darn jeep. I just don't understand how I had no issues with rad,as far as I know the hoses were good and now this happens. **** spent a lot of time under the XJ and never mentioned anything about hoses or junk from rad.......I'm perplexed. could this have happened from that crazy rain storm and the xj just sitting in a wet field?
