which MVA? the one in glen burnie off of ritchie? never go there. Go to the Annapolis branch. it may be a longer drive, but it is insanely faster.

The Annapolis one would have been 30 minutes or so, they're much faster and usually fairly empty.

Now I have to get the XJ inspected and run it through emissions. It failed emissions in WA but since then I changed the o2 and the IAC so it should pass now. Does anyone know a cheap place to get my jeep inspected?

Hellz to the mother f'ing yeah. I didnt know it existed, till I had to turn in my moms plates for her (she is down in annapolis). That place is really clean and the other people don't smell. The people at the counter are real nice too. Veeborg, how mich your tires cost?

The place I went was $70 flat i believe, and very fair. I take my jeep there ever since whenever I need something done that I don't feel like dealing with myself. If something needs to be fixed to pass they give you the option of fixing yourself or having them fix it. Usually next day service/appts available.

It's a small place in Burtonsville/Spencerville off rt.198 though. Dunno if that's too far for you. Lemme know if you want the owners contact info - he's the only one I'll deal with there.

That would be great if you could pm me the info. The only reasons that I might fail the inspection are that the windshield has a couple chips in it and the front tires have just under a quarter inch of tread left.

I have a buddy who does inspections, He works at http://www.environmentalautoservices.com/

I also have a set of stockers with plenty of tread on em if you'd like to borrow em.

That would be awsome. Do you know at what point they disqualify your tires?

here:
(a) Tire is worn so that less than 2/32 inch tread remains when a measurement is made in any major groove at three locations spaced equally around outside of tire. Exception: 4/32" on front tires or steering axle of type II school vehicles.
(b) Tire is worn so that the tread wear indicators contact the road in any major groove at three locations spaced equally around outside of tire.
(c) Tire has a worn spot that exposes the cord through the thread.

Sure, I'll just need help taking the old one off and putting the new one on for payment.
