The pic in my mind was a huge hole in the wall and with MD laws the perp has got to stay inside your home or you can face charges.
Nothing wrong with a .38. I just like to know that if I need to shoot someone, they aren't gonna keep fighting

Yes, he is.
a .380 is very similar to 9mm. police used to carry that size, but criminals were still getting away and whatnot. obviously they still can be lethal, but i would check out ammo for that caliber, like hollow points and stuff that would do more damage. .40 S&W is a great caliber for home defense, or bringing someone down in general and not being too too powerful as compared to a .357 magnum.

as for MD carrying. Legally it was always possible it's just MSP never approved anyone for it. the supreme court ruled that we can now get it (as long as your background checks out and whatnot) for saying we have the right to. where before it was just if you were carrying a lot of money for your job, and you could only carry during your job type thing.

My mistake. I also suggested the .40 before I started talking about my dad's MR 45-70 BFR.

yeah, we have a .357 / .38 special and a .380 auto here. I've shot my friends .40S&W

the .40 is probably the best home defense and all round gun. it's also what most police agency's are carrying now as well.

I have 9mm (Cleveland police issue), .45 ACP (match grade H&K), Mossberg 9200 12ga, and a Thompson M1A1 stamped steel replica. My next will probably be a .40, maybe Beretta.

nice, I think my first handgun will probably be a High Standard Victor .22LR with a 4.5" barrel. I really want to get a M9A1 sometime, and a USP.

My HK is the USP .45 Elite.

Best handgun I've ever fired, hands down.

Tim couldn't agree more. I own two USP's, a full size and a compact. Kuzi look for one on consignment. You can find them for around 5-6 hundred in very good shape.
