Bohnett you still have that axle or did someone scoop it up already? That locker would look nice in my rear end.

Mike I'm gonna be up toward Elkton (New Castle) this weekend - maybe we can meet up at some point. If you do your axles one weekend I'm more than willing to plan a trip up there - I'll just drop my fiance off at her moms and head down.
I need to get you to weld something quick for me anyways if you're willing.

Thanks, Mike. I'll be sure to post once a date is determined.
Bumpstops and shocks are what's holding me back now. I'm gonna pretend there's nothing wrong with the tire until Jon can give me some feedback. If it can be fixed, there's no reason to be stressed. If not, I'll have to figure something out.
My plan for shocks:
Front coils are 3" so 3" shocks.
My rear springs are RE 3.5s, and I'm told they underrate theirs, so I'll likely have 4-4.5" after settling. Shocks seem to be sold at 3" and at 4-5" but I'm not sure which to go for.
I was planning on putting my front 3" shocks on with the lift, and ordering rears after measuring my actual lift in the back. Would I be alright driving without rear shocks for the time it takes to ship?

clown those springs shouldn't be that tall if they're used/already broken in

They're practically new. Stickers are still on and readable, and everything. They just have a little surface rust from sitting outside.

Good thing is that I will install adjustable control arms when I do my swap, and will be able to shift my axle some to get another inch or 2 of clearance...

You can guess based on your estimated lift, tire size, and trimming. The stock ones are 2 1/4" long I believe, and you want to aim for 1.5-2" before the bumps touch when using progressives. They'll compress about to about 60-70% of the original height.

you don't have to drain the fluid to change the pinion seal - it's done from the outside by removing the yoke.
