Check your backspacing and if needed adjust your steering bumpstop. I'm running 33's with trimmed fenders on my ZJ with stock control arms and 3.75" of backspacing and I don't rub... full flex is a different story though

For those interested in helping me with the axle swap(s), I am tenatively planning on doing it Jan 15th, 2012, weather permitting. If everything goes right, I should have all of the welding/painting done to the 8.8 before then and have the hp30 prepped also. Just need to find a suitable place to do it as my mom's driveway is on a slant, my buddies house is a dirt driveway, and my place is gravel...
Not anticipating any problems with the hp30, the 8.8 may end up having issues with the trackbar though....
If anyone knows anybody with a lift or shop, I would be more than happy to rent it for the day, and sign any insurance waivers, ect.

Being in the tire industry I figured I would pass along some info to caution anyone considering purchasing used tires.
1. Check the DOT number. Every tire has one. It always end in a 3 or 4 digit number. If it has a 3 digit number run away. You don't want that tire. On a 4 digit tire the first two digits are the week and the last 2 are the year it was made. Ex. 0407, made in the 4th week of 2007. Tires that are on vehicles should be replaced after 6 years no matter what the tread looks like.
2. Inspect the bead area. If there are any cracks, splits or chips stay away from the tire.
3. Don't buy any tire that you can't look at the inside of the tire. If a belt is broken rubber will shed off on the inside of the tire. Look for any area that looks like the rubber has peeled off.
4. Check the tire fully inflated on a rim and preferably on a vehicle bearing the weight. Check for bubbles INSIDE and out. Bubbles are broken belts too.
5. Obviously check for uneven tread wear.
6. Check for cracks, big and small in the sidewall. These WILL eventually start to leak air.
This is not all inclusive but just some things to consider. I personally would never buy used tires. I feel that if you love your rig save the money and buy her brand new shoes. It is a long term investment so buy a warranty. If you get them from me I'll warranty off road abuse. You won't get that anywhere else. I don't get paid commission so it doesn't matter to me whether you buy them from me or not but I'd like to give back to the community that has helped me a lot. If you have tire questions ask me. Send me pictures and I'll give you my best opinion. Hope you find this helpful.
