Brought my impact gun to school today. I was talking to a buddy about how it was making my backpack super heavey as we walked in, next thing I know a cop is trying to arrest me for possession of a fire arm.

I guess first thing I'll need to get started is a parts list. I already have 5' 9.5" of 2" OD 1/4 wall DOM I got from Jimmy (will that be enough) and what other parts am I going to need?

My biggest advise is to distribute the load of the frame brackets over a pretty large area. Also make sure all the welds have good penetration. Suspensions can produce a lot of stress. I've repaired 3 jeeps with control arm brackets ripped off and 1 with a track bar bracket ripped off. Ballistic makes a very good product and the customer service has gotten a lot better.

Mike....I did all the research on this when I owned that steel.
Yes...you can use those uppers...you just need to build lowers.
Yes...you have enough tubing....
Use JJ's at the frame side, and bushings on the axle side
Check these out...I recommend them:

The Creeper Joints....inexpensive...strong...rebuild-able....you can get the tubing inserts from them too.
Also...if you are looking at crossmembers to emulate...I love Clayton's.

Let me know if you have any questions. I was ready to do this...but decided to go LCOG so will not lift enough for long arms.

Frosty I agree with Jimmy on the Johnny Joints at the frame side instead of bushings, however I think with long arms you want the front of the lower arms to have a flex joint also. The less binding the better.
My LCAs have JJs at both ends and they're quiet and flex really well
