(Sounds sissy I know but I had a Toyota FJ with sliders and that was one of the things I hated). I hate to buy factory skid plates and then upgrade later so if they factory ones suck let me know. I like the looks of the front one since I drive through lots of light brush when I go to Indiana. It would keep the twigs out of the fan and belt. The gas tank skid looks pretty strong to me and I don't plan on draggin my XJ up rocks on a regular basis, I just want it capable. What about the trans skid? Any and all opinions are welcome.
factory gas skid is fine - you saw mine - plenty beefy for most anything. Factory tcase skid is worthless.
Factory engine skid does little after a lift - just use some sheet metal and make a splash shield parallel with the ground.
TNT and DPG have the best tcase skids IMO.
JCr sliders are nice

So I think I'm going to sell my Lexus and I'm looking for a TJ. I probably will only have about $6-$7k. If anyone sees one. Looking for the I6 automatic other than that I'm pretty open to whatever.

I'm down for trails rd. wife might be done going there. Not sure why though.

You drove in, you drove out. That's saying something
If Rausch ends up being a bust, it'll probably be Trails for me...
