Pretty much got that tab bent back. Had to put it in the forge. Cooling it down with a sprinkler now

Yes! First car I ever bought was a 66 baja bug, same time my dad bought a sandrail with an 1835cc and I have a tattoo in my shoulder of a vw bus...does that count?

heading to hampstead tonight to take a look at/drop a deposit for a 1600CC gem of German engineering, and refitting my dads trailer with sides and a floor. Prolly the trailer again tomorrow and I guess thurs/fri finish the plans for my trailer. Saturday I am hoping to pick that motor up and then its buggy fab again to shoe horn the motor in it.

can someone show me a picture of their front tow hooks and how the smaller bracket bolts on, please.

yea bumper has to come off. And what bracket? Are these OEM hooks you have?

I welded mine on instead of bolting it on
