It can't hurt. Usually those are put on with teflon coating.

The big part is obviously to cut the heater bypass so you can turn it out. You need a plan to do that....after that you are home free.

the event i went to this weekend was diesel nationals at englishtown raceway... they drag raced semi trucks..still dont understand that, they were running 30 second quarter miles but there was one that ran a 13.0 which was impressive.
MIR usually has some pretty good events. They have jet cars and top fuel at least once a year. Mason Dixon Dragway has a diesel drag on oct 20-21. I was thinking of going to that just to see what my truck would run.

Well there goes my self repair....lol. I have everything else, but no way to cut heater bypass "Darn it". All is not lost,I'm sure Jake can cut bypass and then do repair. Only thing is his XJ went up yesterday. Anybody else want to help me with this? I'm willing to put in some work to get it done.

I love the 7.3's. I maintain a fleet for a asphalt company and they just sold a 250 with 300k miles. the only major repair it had was a trans rebuild after the blizzards. Still in great shape when they sold it.
