Okay guys, the TC on my '95 is not holding up so well. It's got a bad leak (took a quart and a half) and I'm unable to use 4 low I just get grinding noise or if it does engage as soon as I give it gas it pops out and starts grinding.
I'm going to need a SYE when I lift it more and I have the one off the dark blue '01 I parted out. I know the input shafts are different between the years, but I should be able to use the SYE correct?
I was also wondering what would be involved in just swapping the entire '01 tranny and TC into it. Any ideas if it can even be done?

The input shaft should be exactly the same if they both came from automatic XJs post 1990 (which they did). Just swap the 01 NP231 for the 95 and call it a day

All AW4 connected NP231s post-90 should have medium length, 23 spline inputs, however you need to verify they match (length wise)
