They have several trails (1/2 doz +) and areas in which to enter in from, so you might wanna do some research or ask which would be best to go in when you call. And depending on the trail you might be sharing it with a few atv's or dirtbikes and stay off they dirtbike only trails, instant ticket if your caught. The trails are pretty easy to moderate if you have 4x4 and is ok for the inexperienced ones. Your going to want to allow for a full day because there are lots of scenic back country trails and stops; alot of families and stock SUV's go out there for a nice drive and even the heavily modified 4x4 trail rigs go.
Oh and they dont have too much in the way of mud pits, mostly rocks and bumps. If it rained recently you might get a little mud on the tires and lower rockers if it didnt dry up yet.

Link to park is here. http://www.fs.usda.gov/activity/gwj/...73539&actid=93
If anyone wants to go to flagpole....
get to Harrisonburg you get on 33 west going towards west Virginia you follow it through court square and just stay straight it's going to be around 10 miles and you will come to the mountain. Stay on 33 and follow it up the mountain when you get almost to the top there will be a road on your left that says switzer lake take that road and follow it around the lake It will take you up the trails that trail will dump you out in one of 3 places hone quarry union springs/quarry or reddish **** wv by sugar grove navy base.
There are quite a few trails in that area. If you click this link, each OHV area is labeled on the map and the directory is on the left.
