I know the feeling....picking up a new hobby now. My son is really getting into this R/C thing. I'm ordering one for me so I don't have to be standing by watching. As soon as I get it gonna put a 92 Cherokee body on it

I've always been into vehicles, more like second nature to me now than a hobby I actually have to slow down and think now when I try to help someone through a problem...

same here. theres still just some things i dont know about i.e. transmission internals, installing lockers, welding, etc. pretty much my knowledge on jeeps is from me having to macguyver something (i.e. alternator went out, had to take it out from the top cause the skidplate was rusted on, and had to take it to rays so i could get the core charge lifted immediately cause i was poor, and paid all $16 bucks in change)

im really getting into this harness thing cause its something that i can just sit in a room (rain or shine, or snow... whatever) with my music playing and go at it. like i said, i did the c101 delete (and subsequent write up) in a couple of hours.

im just curious though, im assuming (cause this might be a stupid question) that if you were to get a replacement harness, you would want it to be color correct right?

I would, only because I use schematics to troubleshoot problems. Cuts all of the guesswork out of it

Might've found some 33s to pick up on the way home. Four GY Duratracs with less than 1000 miles on them. Waiting on pics. I said I don't wanna pay $400, and he told me to offer.

After a while of uncertainty, I FINALLY have some good news. A, got served with divorce papers yesterday, so psycho-***** aka my soon-to-be-ex-wife is almost out of my life. B, I found a temporary source of income, allowing me to look for employment outside of one little area, and ALSO allowing me to start saving for the reborning of my baby Anya. My money source runs until the end of january, and then it's tax return time, and THAT will get her back on the road. VICTORY SHALL BE MINE, BWAHAHAHA ^_^

Tried to diagnose my right rear wheel wobble, without much success. Brian came over and we put on his spare, and the wobble was still present. The wobble is about 2mm total. I checked for play in the hub by pulling and pushing on the wheel at 9 and 3, and 12 and 6, and there wasn't any play. If one of the hub bearings was bad, would I hear a noise to indicate this? Is there anything else I should look for? Also, the 8.25 shafts are c-clipped in correct?


Also, these are my rear drums. How bad are these? I've never taken opened a drum brake before.

did you put the drum on and look for the wobble? if there is no wobble, then it is the rim or tire. if you have a L shaped square edge, i would measure everything i could.

Can you get a straight on shot???
As far as the wobble, what does the inside of the drum look like??? Look like even wear??? You would hear a noise if it was the bearings. If you think the axle is bent, pull the axle and put a square to the hub at several positions and then run a straightedge down the shaft. I know the 35's are clipped, not too sure about the 8.25

i suspect the axle shaft... from the pics it looks like the pads are worn evenly

Yea I checked for the wobble before I took the tire off. I'm not sure if I completely understand your question though Sorry.
