If he cannot move the tire at the 3/9 position and the 12/6 position you can rule out the bearing. If he tried a different tire you can rule out imbalance, blown belt, or out of round tire. Drum could cause that problem at speed. Only thing left is axle shaft
yeah... but the driveshaft comment is throwing me a curveball... i cant even come up with a kennedy "magic bullet" scenario...

It takes awhile to start. Sometimes when you try and start it, it makes a sound similar to when you try and start the engine when it is already on, I used to get 17-18 mpg. It went down to 15-16 before I put the 31s on. It right between 13-14 right now. It idles rough. That's about all I can think of at the moment. I was told I have a leak in the engine manifold that causes some of the rough idling.

My check engine light has been on for years. At least 5. It has a bad sensor in the gas tank that I'll change when the fuel pump goes. I think last time I checked there were 2 other bad sensors but I don't remember what they were. I might be able to find out what they are.

LMK and we can go from there. Could be a multitude of things.

If my ZJ had a drop in MPG and rough idle, I would be checking/replacing cap, plugs, rotor and wires. Then I would check injectors and look for vacumn leaks. If all that checks out, I would be looking at the sensors.

I'll look at it when I come up to pick up the ZJ

Well, that's probably why she's running so poorly. You gotta take care of her once in awhile.

It could be the wobblenator. You'll need a dohicky to whack it back into place.

I tried all that! Thanks for all the insight fellas. I will look into testing the drum and if all else fails, the axle shaft.

I know right. I can't lie, I haven't taken care of her like I should have. I've driven her more in the last 3 months than in the previous 2 years.
