When my jeep grows up to be a big jeep I will let it play in the woods. Till then it can just creep around town. Scored a brand new latch for the hood at the rays! Lot of good parts left on the jeep I took it off of at hawkins point. Dukie! There is a jeep with good leafs there. Is a white 96 and they are actually arched in the correct direction! Go get them.

Ryan, nice score. I gotta get my "new" leafs installed. Picked em up from Stup's in Frederick for $90 total.

jeepman, educate me? What's RC?

Hey, how do you know if they have any arch when compressed? I might do the same, but That's almost 4x the amount from crazy rays. A lot less work though.
I need to make sure it has 17" From wheel center to flare, so I guess I will check out CR's tomorrow.

Honestly, I don't know. But I didn't know about Ray's at the time, and they look good sitting. They said the Jeep they came off had under 75k miles, and the dealer used mine as a snow truck for two seasons. A half-ton of bricks in the back for a year and half took its toll, and I figured the 'new' ones couldn't be any worse.

I'd be glad to go out to Ray's with you, but I need to wait til I get paid. How's next Saturday, the 16th?

Sounds good. For a buck I'll still go tomorrow & take a look. Are they cash only? (I mean for parts)

As far as I know, cash only. Like I said before, bring tools. You might see something you want, and it might not be there in a week.

scored the best deal of the week / month i think
way better than CR and the work was already done, they pulled it and i picked it up
(private seller - jeep guy via craigslist)

CL find: 2 complete (stock) leaf spring packs from a 94 xj = $30 for both
And I should mention they both have positive arch, better than the ones I have in currently...
Gues who's getting to put together a bastard pack?
Anyone want to help? I will have pizza and left over leafs when done...
