I considered it, just didnt know how well it would work. Thought the food would want to stick to it since there isnt much surface area to hold grease.
I was going to put the grill on wheels but think I am going to make it receiver mountable so I can take it wheeling

it worked and held up really well. It's what's used on competition / smoker grills.
