I called the dealership to see if they had a pre-bent line to make the brake repair easy. for the 94-96 XJ its marked as a non-serviceable part and doesn't have a P/N. Hand bending it is.

Might be interested in the engine skid plate. Would it work on a 98? I ripped my engine splash shield off but not sure if that was a good idea. Heard people have problems with mud destroying their alternator. Engine skid may be the better idea than getting another flimsy rubber shield.

Ok whats everyone up to tomarrow. I have started tearing apart the engine so I can replace the head gasket and may be asking questions. Or this is your chance to run and hide.

Got a response from the JK Rubi shock guy. He's back from vacation, and he's getting me shipping quotes tomorrow for regular ground and also for overnight. He's prior service military, so he's giving them to me for the cost of shipping.

The link I posted the other day about the nearly-new 33x12.5x15 Duratracs that I found on Craigslist...
I got the pics today. All tires look freakin fantastic, and the date # is 5210. They're a few days past one year old! Best part..he's National Guard, and when I said I'm in the Army, he said he'll hold em for me til I pass by on my way home. Now I need to budget like a madman so I can tell him exactly how much I can offer.

Dukie, do you have an ETA on sway bar links?

Everyone: There's a chance I could be off January 30, 31. I will be off Feb 1, and my leave starts Feb 2. I'd be willing to sacrifice a day of leave if that's the difference between a lift or stock. Would anyone be able to help on any of those days?

Thank you all for your time and attention

on that note did you get shims with your kit? Ones we need to install? If so we need longer center pins? I pass an Ace Hardware on my way home I could stop by it if need be - just would need to know the size needed.

I did get shims and it looks like I will need a longer bolt but I will have to measure it in the morning. I'm 15 hours into a 24hr shift right now. I will get off at 5 and go home and get 6 hours sleep. When I get up I'll measure it. Are center pins available anywhere? Do I just measure the exisiting one and guess how much longer I'll need it?
