Sorry Justin....seems a little heartless. I sit around feeling bad i can't help.
I'm with you on this Jimmy....

I'm not a big fan of people who live day to day on government handouts however from all reports things in the storm area are getting DESPERATE.

Gas stations that have power cannot get fuel and they have run dry.

Stations that have fuel in the ground do not have power to pump it out.

I saw on the news a guy in line buy gas .... he got in line at 9am, at about 1:30pm he was informed the station was OUT OF GAS.

Houses still without power and heat.

It's a very bad situation up there at the moment.

The only help I need from the Sandy storm is to get my shed back down onto the pad. The wind kinda picked it up and tossed it over into my neighbors yard.

There are posts from another forum written by two hard working people who live and work in NY and NJ ......

I work in NYC,civil servant.
Things were ok the first few days, now it's getting bad.

I have a 25 minute drive to work,it took over 2 hrs last night.
There is a mad panic for gas,the lines are literally causing backups in every side street and expressway.
Cops are manning the stations as there has already been violence.

There are plenty of us with no heat, power,or hot water.
there is a 3 person minimum car pool rule to enter Manhattan which no one knows about because they don't have tv or Internet.
The police presence to enforce this rule is making congestion 50 times worse.
Some people can't get to their families.

Here is my beef, our billionaire mayor decides the NYC marathon on Sunday will still go on.
they have two massive generators for the marathon sitting there but they can't even take care of the people.
The cops will be taxed as the presence needed at the marathon is huge.
i understand the need for normalcy but this is insane to me.
take care of the people in need first and have the marathon postponed.

All the hotels are booked solid, congestion, lack of fuel, power, flooding.
am I wrong or is this guy insane?

They say the fuel will be a problem until early next week, same with power.
I had it with this bs,when I retire I am so out of NYC.

This is sad. A lawn mower just rolled through here. A mower powered by the sea. We need the BASICS
. In this society that equates to energy. Electric, natural gas, and fuel for our rides and generators. Which one of those is the most mobile? FUEL!!! Am I crazy to suggest that our ^leadership< has lost sight of this fact?

I'm just rolling off of a midnight swing. I work for the local Utility out here. We're busting our asses to get the Steam system back. I work in NYC and live in NJ. Can we get a fuel truck please? If I can't get to my generation station I can't help those people who need heat.

From what I hear through the radio, the response from our "Relief" system is lacking. Please raise your voices for us.

Ah, the little things. New gas caps on both cars, and new fog light bulbs in the Camaro. Easy day.

Also, anyone know the best prices right now on XJ44
Lube locker gasket
and
Riddler diff cover

Its fairly straight forward, buy bulk wire, buy some nice copper ends, take off the OEM wires and cut the new wire to the same basic length. I made my wires a little longer then OEM so I could have a little slack.
No. No message lol

I am not going to try and make sense of it...cause I can't. But it is a fact.

I have now had 1 that held 20....and 2 that held 16...and one that would take 22.

Go figure....

But the above mod works. It has to do with air pressure on the vent. You can keep filling as long as pressure can bleed through the vent. As soon as the vent get's covered by fuel, you can no longer fill it, since the vent will no longer bleed off. The gas pumps at the station are built to detect that pressure to prevent over filling when topping off.

but i usually put in 16+ gallons. so i have to have a 20 gallon tank.
