so the dome light in my jeep has not worked since the day i bought it, my dads an electrician and cant figure it out and i cant with the little bit of info online ive found. so i have come up with a plan...
im going to buy some thing/long LEDs and put them around the plastic trim that holds the headliner in so its easy to hide the wires. i want to wire them to a switch in my dash so i can control them. how would i wire the lights to a switch and then to the fuse box? im not getting a huge strip of lights all the way around, just like one by the drivers & passengers seat then one by the back seat and one or two by the cargo area. any ideas? what gauge wire and what size fuse should i use?

LEDs draw almost no power. 16ga wire and a 10amp fuse should be plenty
