scored the best deal of the week / month i think
way better than CR and the work was already done, they pulled it and i picked it up
(private seller - jeep guy via craigslist)
CL find: 2 complete (stock) leaf spring packs from a 94 xj = $30 for both
And I should mention they both have positive arch, better than the ones I have in currently...
Gues who's getting to put together a bastard pack?
Anyone want to help? I will have pizza and left over leafs when done...

i actually check CL like 2 or 3 times a day for jeep stuff...
weird though, because i waited like 1 week before contacting him cause i didnt have the extra money...
I think i need it more than you do...
Stock height - center of hub to bottom of fender = 17"
I have a 2" shackle in the back.
My ride height in the back = 15"
My leafs make a sad face
Now, my other problem, getting it installed...

must have been a different section of craigslist...
haha yea yours are worse than mine. Mine was a 15.5" before I installed my shackle relocation boxes, but now I'm back to just above stock(ish)

After my 2'' rear shackle lift I sit at exactly 17.25''. Nice! Well worth the money! Someday I'll buy new stock leaves.

Hi guys,
Just wanted to introduce myself and ask a few questions for the Maryland Jeepers. My name is Brian and I live just outside Annapolis in Arnold. I am new to jeeps but am a pretty good DIYer, came from a long history of VW's. anyways here's my rundown
1998 XJ (with a 94 4.0 I6)
RC 3" lift
30X9.50X15
Mild exhaust
homemade intake
I guess my questions would be
are there any local spots to go wheeling?
any local meets?
good local aftermarket 4X4 stores?

what's up man! Welcome!
Most of the time when I go wheeling it's with a group of guys from JeepForum - their "MD People" thread is more active than this one. I always try and post here though as well when we decide to have a meet up or go wheeling.
As far as "local" wheeling spots, there are none (at least legally). Most are north of us, towards or in PA. There's a spot called Trails Rd in Delta, PA, as well as a big offroad park (Rausch Creek) a little farther up into PA. There's some stuff on the eastern shore as well, but it's mostly sand trails.

We try to have a meet and greet once a month or so. I post that here as well when we do.
For 4x4 shops, I'll just give you a link.

Northern VA
Hi, I'm just outside point of rocks, MD. Used to live in New Market, MD. I'd be willing to meet up sometime, even though I'm in Northern VA. Just ordered me a bumper from littleleonard on the forum today and should be getting here in about 3 weeks. Here's my ride:
