Opinions/input on the IRO D30 truss? It's expensive, but they list a lot of improvements in front suspension and geometry. Worth it for 35s on a 2" lift, paired with their bent LCAs for more clearance and a DS track bar for less binding?

I think there are other options available that may be cheaper and easier...not requiring the spring perches to be redone....check out this one:

Thanks, I hadn't seen Ballistic's. The only reason I considered the IRO one at that price is all the secondary advantages they claim with their design. Would you say it's overrated, not a big enough cost to benefit ratio, or simply not needed for my application?

BUT...lets say you wanted to replace EVERYTHING.

You are only at $200.
If you want the c-gussets, I assume you will have someone (Like Oliver) weld this on? C-Gussets are easy peasy to make. (I have questioned in the past whether heating the cast steel can actually weaken it?)
This too, with slight modification, will let you keep the upper mounts stock.
Question though....do you plan on keeping the vacuum disco Dana 30?
You could also buy the tube sleeves for the Dana 30....still be under $300.
The point is...the week points on a Dana 30 will still exist no matter how much you build up the housing. Yes...building the housing helps, but you will always find the weak points (Shafts, u-joints, carrier).
If you want stronger....the dana 44...BUT....still uses the same u-joints.

For the record....I am now of the mindset, at least for now, since i will be running 33's...keep the axles as stock as I can....replacement parts will be that much easier and cheaper to find. And I can stock up on shafts/bearings/u-joints to carry with me.

Thanks, Jimmy. Good info. As for vac disco, I'm using a Posi cable right now, and I bought Yella's HP30 to swap in.

IMO people choose hnt cause its a cheap shortcut to fixing the problem. For my build I didn't want to cut any corners or have the tc fail because I wanted to save a few dollars. To each his own but I feel the better, stronger, long term solution is full sye.
