Or buy a USP like a real man.

I like my .45, but my next handgun purchase will be a .40 cause I want one.

I have shot plenty of 45 rounds through a 1911, I am going to get a HK USP just not sure if I want it in .40 or .45

I am leaning toward .45 but was hoping to see some argument for the .40 lol

Edit:

USP is the modern day 1911, HK took design cues from Browning and Colt and made a german precision, modern styled, hand held beast lol

If you're gonna carry, the .40 has less penetrating power like we talked about with 9mm. In public, collateral damage is less likely, and it's still gonna put someone down. The .45 is a .45. Nuff said.

Not a base model, but I have a USP .45 Elite; the same model used in international shooting competitions.

And at that point it comes down to preference and the shooter. I don't like 1911s personally. They don't feel comfortable to me, but that doesn't mean they're bad guns. I love USP, so I bought one. I'm not gonna argue preference, but I will point out that mine cost half as much as yours, imported.

The USP is a great gun.....any HK is a quality piece. I like that mine is American made......yes mine cost over 2 grand but as a whole 1911's are pretty pricey and this is one of the best in the world so I didn't have a problem paying the price for it. The trigger is a DREAM and breaks so clean. I promise you'll change your mind on 1911's after you shoot mine.
