Yea but he can swap the axle when he lifts it. The difference between a rear spring lift and an axle swap is 4 tiny bolts and a brake line.

that's my guess. I was a little more careless that time. the first time I just backed into my mirror. they're not too bad at all. the marks seem like they'll just wash right off, and the dents are barely noticeable.
