I've decided I want JCR bumpers. I don't think I'll ever get a winch.

so I'll probably just get the DIY front and rear bumper. keeping it simple and effective.

Same conclusion I came to about needing a winch. I'm gonna do front/rear receivers with a winch on a receiver plate. No weathering/wear on the winch when not in use, can't be stolen, and keeps my front end shorter.

I just don't see how i would ever use it unless I'm by myself which isn't going to happen. plus later on if i end up getting one. i end up getting one. or a new bumper. when i can better afford it.

the JCR bumpers are going to be a nice price. will just need to find someone to weld it for me.

That's totally reasonable and it fits your needs. I wanna have one in case I need one, especially since I like mud. I've already had close calls with pulling Mark out (dark and he lost his linkage) and with getting the MJ pulled out (sunk to the rockers and pinned).

yep. will be getting tow hooks soon which will be nice to have so i can get rid of that dragging @## hitch and still have recovery points. I'll probably get the rear bumper first.

Oliver can make you bumpers and/or weld them. Good prices too.

BAAZING! so true though. my buddy learned the hard way

Buddy: "Dude these tires are brand new, still has nubs on them!"

Me: "yeah? so they are making the dry rot in the tires now instead of waiting?"

Buddy: "what?"

Me: "yeah these are almost 20 years old, good news though they were garage kept"

Buddy: "**** you"
