There's not really clearance issues with the relocation boxes anyways - never even come close to hitting mine

You must understand how they work. The reason I don't like relocation boxes is how much they drop down and ruin your departure angle and make the shackle a target.

First of all....this is 1/4" Plate...not gonna bend too easy.

Secondly...it bolts to the hitch mounts AND to the shackle bolt hole. You trim away the box around the shackle bolt insert in the frame, and these boxes take your original box's place.

Absolutely genius design. These are no different from HD Engineering except the go full length in the hitch for stability, and eliminate the old shackle box (which is just sheet metal anyway).

IMO....this is a better design.

Where can I find Lower Quarter Panel Armor that won't take 30 days to ship? We (Oliver) found some rot and I'd rather not cut-n-fold.

Make it. 3/16" steel and make a manual brake out of 2x4's.

Ah i missed that bolt into the stock shackle weld nut. Looks like you can only adjust your shackle FORWARD of the stock location though - not much help if you want to stretch the rear a bit or use longer springs.

There is truth to that. But I like them for a simple angle fixer. I have my lift already calculated without the boxes....did not want to have to redo things based on the lift HD Engineering's provide. So this may be a good option for me. I will be at 4.75".

So I am torn.....

I kinda want to just bite the bullet and go leafsprings in the front RIGHT NOW....when I lift the first time, and be done with it.

If I sold my control arms, springs, track bar, spacers.....etc....I could earn $3-400....this could finance shackles, shackle hangers, steel for a crossmember and front springs. I would still have to build a front axle, which I was going to do anyway.

What do ya'll think? My BIG concern.,...I keep Ohio plates on my truck...but if that ever changes, It's a 98. With that modified of a front suspension, it will NEVER pass an inspection again.
