I am recovering from a spinal fusion in late Sept. so am still moving slow and crawling around underneath still proves to a challenge. I will try to 'twist' it this weekend but am trying to cut out an afternoon of pain killers if I crawl under.
it shouldn't be on a angle like that

I know that, trying to establish if it is even the proper Flowmaster. Looking for markings on other Flowmaster stuff to detremine what model PO put in and pics of properly installed ones just to see the line where it nears the drive shaft [how much gap there is between shaft and muffler edge.

Earlier post started like this:
Does anyone have a pic of how a flowmaster should look from the underside when correctly installed? The PO turned mine in a strange way and mechanic who worked on my XJ when my neck was healing said he could not turn it. I crawled under and it looks tight where it comes near the drive shaft and I am not sure it will match up with hangers on exit pipe. I am trying to see if PO stuck a flowmaster that is too large or one that fits a different vehicle. Anyone know if there are distinguishing marks on the muffler that would indicate what version I have and what the model number would be? All I can see is the word FLOWMASTER but nothing else. As it is turned now it hangs lower than either diff or any other part underneath the truck. It looks just plain stupid from the side.
Thanks
I am looking on YouTube and I am starting to think the tailpipe he put is probably wrong as well.

Where is the inlet? Drivers, Passenger, or Center?

Yea, wait til you get your flares for trimming. That, or get the instructions for the flares you want, follow them, and trim accordingly

Everything sounds and looks right. Seems like it just needs to be centered
