Ok non jeep question have a 2002 ford e150 passenger van and the horn has twice now just gone off and stayed on with no one in the van. any ideas what would cause this. It does not have a security system.

Does it have cruise control?

And check the horn relay

Possibly, I had same issue with the Ford work van I used to have. But mine only did it if the temp dropped below 40(ish) degrees while it was parked

Same here. I had a 2000 E250 that would do it randomly while driving too. Willing to bet its the clock spring.
