Anyone know of a driveshaft shop in Anne Arundel County?

I found this searching google. Anyone use them before? After working on the jeep for the past 4 weekends I want a break. I need to get my front ds rebuilt with new centering ball and ujoints and after doing my front axles and breaking 3 spicer ujoints I'm not feeling up to it.

with my expierience, shops in md charge insanely way too much. just sayin.

on another note, i rewired my headlights and DAMN they are bright. just gotta aim them again and make all the wire purdy... after being outside doing wiring for like 4 hours... then sun starts to go down... it turns into a rush job.

Not if the unibody is jacked. When I totalled my first Camaro, the repair estimate was almost $10k cause I crumpled the fender and bent the unibody rails (yes, both) in the engine bay.

Stock lights with a new harness? I'm wondering how much difference it makes, if any.

you would be surprised. the entire system is running off of 16 gauge wire. the lights would actually try to pull so much, that the wires would start to melt. and also since the headlights are wired like HEADLIGHT SWITCH-BEAM SELECTOR-LIGHTS (the headlight switch is notorious for melting, causing a drop in power for the lights), i just turned the headlight switch and the beam selector into triggers for relays. i still need to get thicker gauge wire for the headlights and re-do that gaggle-**** of a harness for the lights... sheesh...

it was so bad before that you could drive at night and wonder "are my lights on? oh wait... that sign is reflecting a little... okay" to "wow, i can see EVERYTHING!"

That's how I felt when I got rid of my angry eyes/installed stock headlights that didn't have moisture in them. Before that, I was driving with my high beams on, and I'd just turn them off when passing people. Terrified me on the mountain roads cause I still couldn't see the treeline and I had some close calls with deer.

I drive with my high beams on. No one has ever flashed at me. My head lights suck.

well at least I got to meet you and we gave it a pretty sweet going away wheeling session at the canals...sucks though

I think it's fixable, get the unibody pulled back straight, replace the framerail where it's kinked, throw on a new bumper and you're good. My future brother-in-law is a bod/frame man for Winner Porsche up there in New Castle / Wilmington and he fixes **** WAYYYYY worse than a little kink.

A metric ****load - thrust me the stock wiring sucks ***** and is a major bottleneck for the headlights.

I have H4 headlight conversions with awesome bulbs, but they never were that much better till I got a new HD harness for them. Made a world of difference. It was from eautoworks.com.
You can see the yellow harness and headlights in this photo:

edit: this is the harness - will work with stock headlights and installs in <10 minutes - plug and play

Thanks. Just gave them a call. $140 to replace 3 ujoints, more if the centering ball and CV are bad. Might just put it back in for now. No clicking yet, I was just planning on doing preventive maintenance but that's expensive.

Estimated cost/time involved? That may be my next small project if it is one. (Can't see the pic right now on the gov computer, but I'll look when i get home later.)

harness? <10 minutes. It's 100% plug and play. Longest part was removing the headlights from their bezels lol
