Jimmy: looking for a sunroof at the JY Saturday. I need one that is manual, but can it be one with the thing that twists to push the glass up or just one that is in or out? Also, can you look for a sunroof for me while at the JY? It would be much appreciated.

You can look for ANY manual....but the ones that twist are slightly more complicated. I can help you install.

I will keep an eye out.

I'm considering a sunroof myself instead of a convertible top, since I saw the one I posted last week. My roof doesn't have ridges, though, and no headliner...so I could get any generic/common sunroof.

You want one from an XJ so it has the ridges. I would take mine from something common so I can replace it if anything happens. Besides that, I'm not committed to the idea.
