Hey guyz my Transfer case has been grinding when i get on it, sometimes in 2wd.I can feel it in the shifter too..When its in 4wd it works fine but when i turn, it grinds too.Also when i go from neutral to 4hi it grinds but goes in... ITS a 231 Transfer with 211,??? miles.. THANKS

Have you had your tc open yet? Might be a stretched chain rubbin on the case

no i didnt open it. Im just stuck on what to do because its my dd. Is that a hard job?Can i open it while on jeep and check the chain?It sounds like gear on gear grind..Is that a chain sound?

I've had a bass check cd in my cd player for over a year.. stupid pioneer wont give it back. Its a folding face unit and the ribbon cable has worn, I need to find a new one and fix it.

that's why im glad I have 2. so if im screwing around with one I can drive the other. if need be my family does have an extra vehicle to drive if need be. if need be I could drive the motorhome....but I'd rather not. lol that thing gets horrible gas mileage
