The Venom GT has the acceleration test in the bag for quite a while I think (0-300 km/h acceleration time of 13.63 seconds)

I've sat in one -- an Exige, that is. The rocker is almost 18" wide, so the first hurdle is getting in sideways to a seat that's inches off the ground. Once I did get in, my eyes were just barely below the roof line, and the convertible top would've closed unless I slouched terribly...which there wasn't much room for doing.
Incredible piece of machinery, but not something I could ever justify owning.

They are listing the 2013 Venom GT Coupe at 275. I know the Super Sport was design to beat the Venom last time it surpassed the Veyron.

my favorite part about it. shares the engine with the ZR1 minus the supercharger plus a lot of extras.... = D love those LS engines.

anyway, time for me to go swap out the TPS on the white XJ, and replace the tail light. would love to get rid of that duct tape holding that on.

They announced the very creatively named "SuperVeyron" with 1600bhp shooting for a speed or 288mph.
I don't think the Veyron will ever catch it in acceleration - Veyron has a power to weight ratio of 0.63hp/kg. The Venom's is a whopping 1.00hp/kg. Especially considering the Venom tests were done in full leather interior trim, stereo, a/c, and on 93 octane with DOT tires

it's going to come down to carefully planned aerodynamics. At that speed the air is so dense that acceleration is next to impossible. You need to balance the deflection of the air around the car with the funneling of air into the engine. When Top Gear did the Veyron special one of James May's factoids was that at top speed the Veyron needed to suck in 9,900 imp gallons of air per minute (as much as a human breathes in four days)!

Go for it, its really straight forward. I had 19 wires in the drivers and like 15 in the passenger.
