The Super Sport still holds the top speed record for a production car (258mph, 267.8 for the world record edition)
The Venom GT has the acceleration test in the bag for quite a while I think (0-300 km/h acceleration time of 13.63 seconds)

Incredible piece of machinery, but not something I could ever justify owning.
one thing i like about the 4th gen camaros. plenty of room. with the seat all the way back, I can't even push the clutch halfway down. plenty of room. at least in the driver's seat. plus i could realistically buy one as well = D

They are listing the 2013 Venom GT Coupe at 275. I know the Super Sport was design to beat the Venom last time it surpassed the Veyron.

anyway, time for me to go swap out the TPS on the white XJ, and replace the tail light. would love to get rid of that duct tape holding that on.

we'll see about that - untested as far as I know.
They announced the very creatively named "SuperVeyron" with 1600bhp shooting for a speed or 288mph.

I don't think the Veyron will ever catch it in acceleration - Veyron has a power to weight ratio of 0.63hp/kg. The Venom's is a whopping 1.00hp/kg. Especially considering the Venom tests were done in full leather interior trim, stereo, a/c, and on 93 octane with DOT tires

it's going to come down to carefully planned aerodynamics. At that speed the air is so dense that acceleration is next to impossible. You need to balance the deflection of the air around the car with the funneling of air into the engine. When Top Gear did the Veyron special one of James May's factoids was that at top speed the Veyron needed to suck in 9,900 imp gallons of air per minute (as much as a human breathes in four days)!

I could.

He does. He was a certified electrician for about 12 years. Then was a truck driver. Then an Operations Manager at a landfill. Then a truck driver. Now at penske. He is an everything guy.

Go for it, its really straight forward. I had 19 wires in the drivers and like 15 in the passenger.
