Justin, I just saw this link posted on Ask A Question:
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/ren...estion-126868/
Seems similar to my issue. You saw I have new TPS, CPS, and MAP. Going to replace injectors next. Do you think my problem could be relative to the timing chain, as his (in the link) ended up being? I'm about to go clean my C101 connector again and smother it in dielectric grease, but I wanna have the next step in mind.
Jimmy, I know I'm "throwing money at this problem," but everything I've replaced so far has been out of tolerance anyway.

I still say backfiring is a timing issue....
With the age of the truck...timing chain or dizzy are possibilities. Timing chains can skip just like the dizzy gear can. Then the truck is just out of time...period.

I know you've been saying that, but everything I've replaced so far has been tested and shown to need replacing. As for the injectors, I know it won't hurt to replace them since they're original with 150k+ miles on them.

That's why I'm asking. Would you suggest a tear down to inspect the timing chain? Good info right here?

Nothing you are doing is wrong....your truck is 25+ years old, and refreshing this stuff is good and fine. Just not sure it will result in a correction of these symptoms.

Ill get the tube on order

Just had a customer come in and said he had an '01 for sale/parts, the motor is out and still has it, it was in a accident and bent the front frame and bent the upper or lower brackets. He said $500-$600 for the whole thing, I have his number if anyone is interested
