I has a 27 spline one from a 95. Need brakes on one side. $60 if you get it today $50 I just want it gone.

I can possible do that. It may be late before I get there. I think I might need 29 spline.

If you swap out entire axle, yes. Just shafts, no

Yes. If your swapping the complete rear then it doesn't matter.

The spline count refers to the axle shafts. So if you had expensive upgraded axle shafts in your 29 spline then you would want to get another 29 spline and swap the shafts.

I agree, everyone makes a big deal over 27 or 29 spline....when was the last one you saw stuck on the trail cause the SPLINES broke?

I know, technically more surface area contact, but it is not a weak point.
