just do the 8.25. Enough for running 35s comfortably, bolt in.

Waggy 44s are LP, about 1.5" narrower than an XJ axle, 6 lug, and requires shock mount fab.

9" is way more than you'll ever need, lots of fab, and very LP.

8.8 is a good swap, but not much strength over 29 spline 8.25, requires fab work and pinion adapter, thin stock cover.
