I was at the range today practicing for the Reade Range Shoot that's coming up in the spring. I'll be going out again on Monday if anyone has a long range rifle and wants to put a few rounds downrange. I can't wait to see what they actually have us shooting on competition day. Here are a few pics from the tournament last year. Most shots were between 600 and 1000 usually in an odd position or shooting through an obstacle.

I was the only one out there today and didn't have anyone to take photos. It would be nice to have a second person to spot as well as take photos. If anyone wants to go, I'm leaving at 0400 on Monday. It's located just north of Altoona, PA.

That is awesome!!!! Is this a military contest, or is it open to the public? I have always been amazed by the shots that our snipers make. If I would have went into the military, I would have tried to get into the sniper school.

I sold my Harley in 08 to get the 2 rifles that I have now. I've got about 5k in each of them and 2k in each of the scopes. And then I pay about 2.40 per round to shoot it. Match ammo is almost 5 dollars a round.

The caliber is getting more popular every year and there are some mfg's that are putting them in the 2k range now.

Alright guys, finally talked to the gf. She now has to work that weekend so I'm trying to decide if I'm going to go without her. The house I was going to rent is this one.
