I have a 27 spline in my shed without a ring and pinion. XJNut was supposed to buy it but I haven't heard diddly from him in months.

Ooooh....exactly what I need....
Cause THIS is what I hear....
I just need to verify.
Gonna pop the front DS to make sure which axle it is coming from. It seems to make the noise mostly accelerating which should be the rear pinion, but I need to make sure. If I can remove load from the front, I will know.

I wish I actually had tools and some equipment to use at my house. It's hard to work on the Jeep here.
and justin, you really do have a lot of stuff in your shed. all the parts I have here are some fender flares, plastic endpieces, set of 215 tires on aluminum rims, and then 3 6 spoke stock rims
and Jimmy, I would say you might want to get that fixed ASAP (i know, call me captian obvious)

less parts now - most of it is sold or on my truck lol. That axle is taking up a bunch of floor space though

Step one for the TJ. Ordered this
http://www.rockkrawler.com/ProductDe...ode=RKTJ35SAFS
As well as advance adapters SYE, bilstein 5100 shocks, energy suspension body lift, and Tera Flex bump stops. Got a good deal from Quadratec. Got them down over $250 of their original price.
