I can't afford to do so....that's why I have an extra jeep. so I guess it works out.

anyway, instead of going right to painting and headlight harness. I went to go look at Jmitchels new ride. looks nice. everything works, and runs good. good shape. interior is clean. but its a D35, but I doubt he'll do anything that will require anything more.

Ok this guy is confusing me...He is saying that the 1998 will not fit bc the 1998 is a distributor motor and the 1999 is a coil pack...

Then he tells me that he doesn't think the 2000 motor he has will fit???

Ideas? He wants 500 for motor, A/C, alternator, etc. 112K

Guy said he can do the TC for $150. The tranny is still attached so you'll have to give him a heads up if you want it. Send me a PM if you want his info.

He's an idiot. It will work. You convert the 98 to coil pack...it is not that hard.

BUT....does he have a 98? Or 2000?

up through 1999 used a distributor
1998/1999 XJ 4.0L are identical

either way get it - you likely just need the bottom end anyways.

He has a 98 and a 2000...don't know miles/etc details on 98, but which would be easier/better to do?

yours has no coil packs correct?

if not - 1998
if so - 2000

And make sure he's talking about a Cherokee and not a GRAND cherokee
