I hope you can make it today cause I'll be working this weekend, and out of the state for work most of next month. Let me know. Oh, and 96xjclassic is looking for a D44 rear from an XJ with 3.73 or 4.10 gears. I'm sure he'd be interested if you see one

Just need the carpet to clean up the look, and a cage to protect the woofer. It sounds way better than I expected! Worth every penny, and it looks good, too.

Dukie I need a diagram or picture from your huge and vast collection. On my 99 grand the front diff vent tube came loose on the diff end. Can you show me how and where it gets put back in?

If I remember correctly it should fit on the top of the diff towards the passenger side. The plastic fitting on the diff end just slides into the hole in the diff. I think this is how it is on the Dana 30

It was sort of on the top drivers side. It was a nice and tight pressure fit. Then I drained and refilled. Boy that old stuff was nasty, old and watery! Then I wiped everything down took it for a spin and checked for leaks. Looks good! Thanks a lot for the help. I didn't ruin the wifes grand today!

Never made it to the JY today, ended up doing a recovery for a friend in Harford County. Pulled a 2wd Nissan out of a field, couldn't get the Dodge Ram to budge though. Both were buried to the frame.
Will keep my eyes open for an XJ D44.....

I might be going to the meet, I have a bunch of things that need done. Longer brake lines and fixing TC shift linkage are the main things. Hopefully we stop having rainy weekends, not having a garage sucks.

I dont have a garage, so i know the feeling...

but there are a lot of good members here that, if you become friends with and bring sustenance, will let you borrow theirs and may even help you / teach you a few things...

thats what i do, i get 1 day a week to work on my rig, and i always bring plenty of food... its a good bribe..
and if i want to work on it 2 days a week, i have to be prepared to drive a few extra miles (1 1/2 hrs away) and bring good drinks...

of course you can bring food first day but dont think it happens right away, usually takes a few meetings before they trust you to not bail after your rig is fixed, so you earn your keep by showing up and learning and of course helping others out too
