Ok I hate to say this cause none of us are a threat but why not let mom come to or dad if your afraid they'll rain on your parade too much I'm sure you got a couple of friends that can come and your parents trust. We meet in public and if anyone doesn't make you feel liked don't talk to them.
Case in point, I went out wheeling Christmas Eve, one of the guys had his dad tag along. I thought that was pretty cool, expecially since everything went south that day

That sucks. So you never actually purchased the 2nd one? Headed up to your neck of the woods. I'm headed to Glen Burnie to pick up a speedo gear o-ring from Tate Dodge.

I believe it was the 2000's but don't quote me on that. I think they cracked around #4 cyl. One of the forum members here had it happen.
I don't recall ever seeing bubbling on a cold start. Once the t-stat opens u should see flow

my shop foreman said on a cold start--if you open the rad cap, then start it-the pressure will cause a brief bubbling, which it didnt exhibt. we did see some residue round the fill cap but 103k in 12 years---that could have been normal moisture--reckon not!!
