Here's the little rock from last night that caused someone to call the cops. The outstanding officer was also incredibly smug. Oh well, it was fun and I didn't get a ticket

Any of you guys ever have your d-rings, jacks or spares stolen? I dont trust many people now a days but I was curious how much security design I needed to do as I am fabricating lol. Plan on using wheel locks for the spare and jack and was considering welding the pins on my d-links. Just be a PITA if I ever had to replace them lol

As long as the back is locked and the windows are tinted...I roll with a mobile shop in the back of mine.

Haven't had the cops called on me yet for the XJ, but my 64 pick up gets the cops called all the time lol. Apparently people in my buddy's neighborhood associate loud exhaust with drug deals lol

What did deputy dog say to you?

Surprised the Cleveland cops even showed up....of course, if it was in Westpark...that's where they all live.

It was a real cop on a college campus. He had that expression and that tone of voice the entire time like I'm a helpless student who knows nothing about the real world. Here's the gist of it:
"What are you doing?" "Sir, I was just dropping off my friend here, and I got a little carried away showing off." "Have you been drinking? Don't lie to me." "No, sir. I haven't drank since last night; we were over at his house, and I'm trying to get my visiting time in while I'm home on leave from the army." "Oooh, you're in the army. What's your MOS, rank, duty station, and commander's name?" I answered. "Well I'm sure you'd hate for us to have to call your commander at 1 in the morning for something silly like this." "Frankly, sir, he'd be pissed at you for calling him about something so trivial, but I understand your point."
He proceeded to call into dispatch my name, and all three of my friends to check for arrest warrants. Then he told me he could impound my 'tin can' for not having flares, and asked what I would do if he cut my driver's license in half since it's expired. I told him I'd drive home, and he didn't like that. "I could arrest you right now for driving without a license." "Sir, I have a license. You're holding it. It expired while i was out of the state on active duty, and the DMV hasn't been open since I got back in town. If you read the Ohio Revised Code, you'll learn that active duty military members are exempt from all license-related laws during such time as they are out-of-state."
He got pissed, called dispatch to check again for warrants against us, and then told me I "had better be the first person in line in the morning when the DMV opens."

I'm usually respectful to try to avoid getting a ticket, but he was a dick. The best part is he was short, so he was actually looking up at me in the Jeep while we were talking.

..He was asking so many stupid questions about the army, it was clear he didn't believe me. At one point, I handed him my military ID and told him to stop asking me about my job.

Nah, I can get away with murder in Cleveland cause my dad's a lieutenant in the CPD, and people respect him. He (and I, currently) lives in West Park. It's where I grew up. This was in Parma Heights on the Baldwin Wallace campus, where they have nothing better to do.

The officers around where I live dont know what to do when you know the laws that you allegedly broke more then they do. I have Streetrod tags on my f100 so I am excempt from alot of different things and I constantly get harrassed for not having shoulders belts or for having a modified exhaust.... everytime I hand them my lic and reg I tell them... "Sir just so you know this vehicle has streetrod tags" cause its really fine print on the bottom of the tag but I usually get a bunch of crap back to the effect of "I know my job, son blah blah blah." Its just a PITA to have to go to court just to have the judge throw it out... but i am not paying the fines for all that crap...

It runs very quiet, almost immediate oil pressure on cold starts.
