I would clean the gash as best as possible, take good pictures before and after, ***** and ***** and ***** at the towing company, grind it smooth, weld in a patch piece then add some sort of frame stiffeners over the gash on the middle section of the unibody.

Seeing as how you plan to Barney be a trail only rig, i wouldnt worry a whole lot about the front crossmember. If it works, it works. But that doesnt mean super half *** it Aaron style... Just regular half *** for you

You need to stick a hose in the gash and spend some time cleaning the 30lbs of mud out of the rail. That's gonna eat him from the inside out.

That's basically the plan. If they quote me a crazy price I'm snatching it between two trees.

I started to while you where still there. Plan to park him up hill with the rear bumper off and have at it.
