94cherokeeman: any word on your coworker wanting my engine?

I think my speedometer is off by 3 mph at highway speeds and I only have 225s. How do you know if you need a short or long shaft speedo gear? I plan to get one from my 31s.

try driving with a GPS. I know when i first got the blue Jeep, it had 215s on it, and the speedometer said I was going faster than I actually was going.

isn't it a percentage faster? I'm rockin the 33's with 3.55s as well, and when the speedometer is at 60, I'm going closer to 67ish

So far as price they were far from the most expensive. They were cheaper by as much as $400.00 on the labor. Some shops wanted to charge me 10% of the total cost of the parts because I bought my own parts. Appalachian does not charge this fee. I had already purchased all the parts. Their references checked better than several of the higher priced shops.
Once the work is completed and I get it out wheeling I will post how she does.
This is going a couple years back, I talked to them because the jeep I bought had a lift and I was asking questions about it because it was my first jeep/car. I didn't know a lot and I don't remember the guys name but he kept trying to shove me out the door and talked down to me because I didn't know anything about my jeep and told me to buy a wrangler then he will actually work with me. I'm not putting them down, they are a local shop. I had one bad experience but I might come around and go to them

alrighty then, lol. I should get a new speedo gear, cause I don't plan on swapping my gears out anytime soon, and they're only like 20 bucks.
