if you have some rings bad you will have james bond blue smoke screen while its running. Valve seals you will notice some blue smoke when you first fire it up in the AM. Seals are easier to replace than rings.

Anyone in the area skilled enough with rear main seal/tranny swap issue and wants to make some cash? I really need to get my XJ rolling again.
I am almost finished redoing passenger floor but need to get this issue addressed to resume driving.
I live near Rob and have the replacement tranny in my shed but can't do the work because of spinal fusion and this is beyond my skill level.
A few of you have offered to help which is greatly appreciated but we need a 'team lead' who knows what needs to be done.
Let me know if you need some cash and can help.
getting desperate and my time is getting short [have a friend's car right now but want to keep him as a friend by getting it back to him soon]
I'll feed y'all too of course!

Default CL not my ad

http://baltimore.craigslist.org/pts/3793680704.html

Super swamper TSL 38.5x16x16.5 (4) - $400 (Harford County)

"They as most swampers do, have some dry rot but nothing major and rode and drove fine. These are just tires, no wheels are included. I will measure tread depth tomorrow and update this add but I will guesstimate it at 75%."

I'll go hit up advance and zone. Everything was going smooth until this.
