I'm upgrading my steering with the zj tie rod, Durango steering box, as all new bushings and paint

Yes. Dont ruin the seals in the box. Heat is bad. Why do you want to take the pitman arm off?

The Durango pitman arm doesn't fit on the xj I thought

Wait. What exactly are you doing?

Are you taking a pitman arm off a durango box so you can swap that box in? If so, soak the hell out of the bolt in PB blaster and tap the bolt with a hammer. Then get some leverage on it. I use a big pipe wrench. Dont snap it though(it would be very hard to do).

Yeah I'm taking off the arm from the Durango box so I can put on the xj arm then just the Durango steering box.

Iv been soaking it in wd40
That's would be a big bolt to snap lol

Mount the box and use a cone pitman arm puller. For the nut make sure you are turning the right way and use a cheater bar or a impact wrench
