Thing I hate with 4lo, least with mine, unless you lock in first se tries to lunge. Hence my thoughts on it. I know when ppl regear they can drive in 4lo without issue. My short term plan is to put my shift solenoids on switches so I can lock out first gear to stay in it until I want out

Maybe a little.

Jake, 4LO would've been preferred maybe if I was accelerating from the bottom of the pit, but I would've redlined way before the jump from where I was starting. I was hitting it at ~15mph.

You realize you still have 4 forward gears in 4lo... Top speed is about 35.

Shoulda hit it faster lol

i do agree with jake. 4lo would give you brtte acceleration period.

I did it in first without shifting. That takes time away from acceleration. I also don't wanna redline in 4LO. It just feels horribly wrong.

It is what it is. I had my reasons for the way I did it, and we all had a good time.

This is true. Jumping is fun but redlining isn't. Tim couldn't have just said it better

But with your torque multiplied by 2.7ish I believe (whatever the 4lo ratio is...) you still would have accelerated twice as fast, and wouldn't be redlining it. Not sayin you did it wrong. Just stating the obvious.

Welp.. my radiator just exploded on me at work. Parked and came out to steam pouring out and fluid all over thr ground. Its leaking by the battery so I can't get a good look. I did find a rubbed spot on the upper hose. Hopefully its the hose.

The fun part will be limping it home.
