true, the spousal units jeep was leaking fuel. I dropped the tank and the sending unit was loose, i tightened it up and hasn't leaked since. My old 92 had a leak but it was from a rotten hose that was falling apart replaced and no more leak. So far to date no leak on the 97...

The braze in the return line wore out, would leak gas if it was over 1/2 full. Nothing some seal all couldn't fix.

Never had a problem with this on the 2000, not sure about the 90, maybe it wasn't a problem in the newer ones
