It has 142,000 miles. The engine light came on about 3 weeks ago with a code "misfire cylinder 3" I was scheduled to get a new coil pack, spark plugs, and oil change. Wednesday was when i heard the knock while sitting at a light, when I pushed on the gas the noise got louder. The oil was okay and the shop I took it too listened and said " it's a bearing which can be repaired" they did check the oil,but that was all. The cost for bearing repair $600, I spoke with another mechanic and without even checking out the problem, he says new engine $1000. At this point I don't who to believe and I think both guys are trying to rip me off because I'm a female.

I'm planning on going to RC saturday so I'm going to try and come up Friday. Need to get longer bolts and have one extracted. I broke one when I removed the old bump stops.

Do you think the I would be able to use the ones that are on there now. I have stock leafs with a 3" block.

Would I need anything to install the leafs?

Without hearing your jeep, just going by the code you are throwing I believe this may be one of if not the problem.
