you could, but I don't advise it. Clown's were juuuuust long enough.
They're cheap at advance auto - I would get new ones

DPG Offroad has a similar product, but I want one to go over the existing plate, not replace it. 1/4" or 3/8" thick. Is this something you can make? I could make it too i guess but i'd need to find a place to buy plate, and my battery powered drill would hate me trying to drill those holes

I managed to do all my trails without breaking anything (only denting & scratching) without skids. So with em, there aint gonna be no stopping me.

I'm thinking of replacing the coil pack, getting an oil change, and adding Lucas to see what happens.I just don't want to spend money on one thing and then it be something else. Nobody has done anything but lifted the hood and listened to the noise. You can hear it when you start and when you give it gas, it gets even louder. My daughter is going to record the noise for me to post.
yea post a video when you can. Could be a lot of things, but sounds like you have a stuck injector or a non-operational coil pack. Could be a stuck valve as well - hard to tell from your description.

PM me your contact info and where you live - i could probably stop by tuesday or wednesday night after work

Like this:

That could be done as well. I was thinking more of an extension to the side of the plate rather than covering the whole thing.

Also, a 1" square tube piece can be used for BumpStop Extensions. I have some little pieces of plate for this as well.

My thought was more like this:

Or trussing the backside would be more likely. Maybe I will whip one up today for a test.

nah - looked into that also - not for me. I'd drill a couple holes in the 1st or second idea also so I could add pieces of plate as needed to adjust the stop height

The adjust-ability of the first 2 options do make them nicer....
