x2, or just drill into bumper (you'd need to drill into it anyway with a stock bracket.

if you ziptie it into the grill, do the left side because the intake is on the right.

Yes I need a stock bracket, I had one already screwed into the bumper but I broke it wheeling, and I'll probably break another one if i get it, so I'm probably gonna zip tie it, and my intake is from my cowl now so its just preference at this point, right now my tag is in my dash

Default worth buying?

Was thinking about buying/bidding on http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NO-RESERVE-very-Nice-clean-great-running-1996-Jeep-Grand-Cherokee-Laredo-4-0-L-/121119699465?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item1c334bf209. (link to ebay auction if not displaying as that)

Was thinking a max bid of 2k. Figure another 1000-1500 for repairs to get me thru inspection legitimately and have a decent jeep for 3500-3800 (after dealer fees). of course that's just a guess.

could i do better elsewhere? not seeing a ton out there (that's clean or that i like)

i called and asked for underbody pics and this is what they sent. carfax says 1 owner from schenectady, ny (salty) and 1 accident, driver side front, on 1/1/13...pry out partying for new years and rearended something. not a salvage title so it couldn't have been too bad right?

just screw the license plate directly into the bumper then. You don't need a bracket. the stock bracket is made for the stock bumper anyway

well do you want your license plate to stay on? if you use another bracket, it'll probably break again. I had brackets on both my Jeeps. broke em both. now the plate is directly screwed into the bumper. works great except when the screw on one side pulled through, but it was just barely bigger than the hole anyway

I already know that if i get another bracket itll break...id really like to not have a front tag at all but I can't do that, looks like its either screw it screw it or zip tie, it looks better with it off

Just zip tie. Thats how mine is. I had issue with bracket too. mine has stayed zip tied since winter. Never issue with cooling or flexing

rust is scary, and there seems to be a good bit. are you on the FB group? there's a guy Eddie, that has a ZJ he was trying to sell. it's black and silver, body looks to be in good shape. and he's not in NY.

Will do, might try and go as long as possible without it.

Now that the tag issue is settled, any help with the cb tuning?
